The Rider's Edge^® Skilled Rider Course allows you to take your skills to the next level while practicing on your own motorcycle in front of our instructors. Rider's Edge^® New Rider Course

The Rider's Edge^® New Rider Course is a mixture of classroom time and actual riding that delivers the basics of motorcycle operation in Harley-Davidson^® style. It's taught by experts certified by both the Motorcycle Safety Foundation^® (MSF) and Harley-Davidson® to provide topnotch instruction in a relaxed, fun environment. After completing the course and passing a written test and a riding skills evaluation, you'll receive an official MSF RiderCourse^SM Completion Card and an NCDMV Examiner card. The MSF card may qualify you for discounts on motorcycle insurance, depending on the provider. Most importantly it is a record of your accomplishment. The NCDMV Examiner card will exempt you from the riding skills portion of the NCDMV motorcycle operator's license test. In order to get your motorcycle endorsement, you will still need to take a written test at the NCDMV.

To take either course, you will need:

• To know how to ride a bicycle
• A valid automobile driver's license
• Jeans, over-the-ankle boots or shoes, full finger gloves, and a long-sleeved shirt or jacket.
• A helmet (we will provide one of ours if you need it.)

Classes are on a first come first serve basis and are filling up fast.

We offer a weekend and a weekday schedule to make getting into a class as convenient as possible. All sessions are mandatory, so make sure the course will work with your schedule.

The weekend class is conducted over 4 days. The weekend schedule is:

Thursday: 5:30pm - 9:00pm
Friday: 5:30pm - 9:00pm
Saturday: 8:00am - 6:00pm
Sunday: 8:00am - 5:00pm

The weekday schedule is conducted over 3 days. The weekday schedule is:

Tuesday 10am-5pm
Wednesday 8am-6pm
Thursday 8am-5pm

Rider's Edge^® Skilled Rider Course

The Skilled Riders Course is for riders with over 6 months and 3,000 miles experience. You ride your own street legal motorcycle or a rental. The course will be broken down into two segments. We will meet at the dealership on Friday night to go over administrative details and the Group Riding Module. Then on the following Saturday or Sunday, depending on which class of 12 you signed up for, we will head out to the Skilled Rider's range. The cost is $150 and the schedule is as follows:

Friday 6pm until 9pm
Sat. or Sun.
8am until 4pm
